Kerri goes financial, thanks to social media!
I haven't posted in quite a while since I've been busy in my new career track - working in financial services. My last gig as business development manager for a start-up company did not work out. That's the first time EVER a job did not work out for me. I stuck with my values and ethics and quit a job that was not what I was promised. It's something I hoped I'd never have to do, but am proud of myself for sticking to my principles.
Thankfully, the social media network (Social Media Club of Southwest Florida) of friends I had built for about a year came to my rescue and I learned about an opportunity in the financial services industry through my friends Gail Lamarche and Dean Piccirillo. Entry level, since I really have very little experience in this arena. But I'm a quick learner, organized, efficient and need a change!
The company needed someone well-versed in social media and marketing to continue its efforts in the local/regional market. So, I'm enjoying this new industry very much, and being able to contribute my talents to HBK Sorce Financial and its parent company Hill, Barth & King's social media, marketing and public relations efforts on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and their blogs, in Southwest Florida while learning the ropes in financial services.

I'll continue to post social media, marketing and PR relevant articles, but you will notice an eventual transition away from my Dark Horse identity and just to me - Kerri Goldsmith.
